EU Consumer Information
ureturkiye.com connects you directly with small artisan producers in Türkiye. International orders are shipped from Türkiye under the micro-export (ETGB) regime. This page summarises your rights and the costs you may face, as required by Directive 2011/83/EU.
1. Right of Withdrawal (14 days)
As an EU consumer you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact [email protected] with your order number. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer unless the product is faulty. Exceptions: personalised or made-to-order items, and perishable food products.
2. Import Charges (updated for the 2026 EU customs reform)
- Since 1 July 2026 the EU's €150 duty-free exemption has ended: parcels up to €150 are subject to a flat customs duty of approximately €3 per item.
- Import VAT of your country is collected on arrival by the carrier or postal operator (until our IOSS registration is active, at which point VAT will be charged at checkout).
- From 1 November 2026 an EU handling fee applies and a Product Identifier accompanies each line item.
- Orders above €150 are subject to standard customs duty rates plus import VAT.
These charges are set by EU law and your national customs authority — they are not collected by ureturkiye.com or the producer.
3. Product Safety and Traceability
In line with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988, products sold to the EU carry the producer's name and address, and batch information where applicable. Category-specific EU rules (cosmetics notification, food-contact ceramic declarations, textile fibre labelling) are tracked per order in our compliance file.
4. Delivery
Orders are prepared by the producer and shipped with tracked express courier under the Turkish ETGB micro-export regime. Typical delivery time to the EU is 3–7 business days after dispatch. You receive the tracking number as soon as the label is created.
5. Complaints and Disputes
Contact [email protected] — we respond within 72 hours. EU consumers may also use their national consumer authority. Nothing on this page limits your mandatory rights under EU or national consumer law.
